The Dext is Motorola’s first Android handset, it comes with Android 1.5 and offers the usual assortment of applications. Motorola have thrown some of their own software in too, such as MOTOBLUR, which includes five different home screens.

The Dext is a fabulous messaging device. It has a slide out QWERTY keyboard and it treats all of your messages in the same way, regardless of how they were sent or received. For each contact you have a catalogue of communication.

The 3.1 inch touchscreen also offers a virtual keyboard, what’s more it’s capacitive so it will respond to almost anything you want to poke it with. Other features include a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and geo-tagging, a 3.5mm audio jack and expandable memory supporting microSD cards up to 32GB.
